As the Holy Qur’an mentions in 2:177:  True piety does not consist in turning your faces towards the east or the west – but truly pious is he who believes in God, and the Last Day; and the angels, and revelation, and the prophets; and spends his substance – however much he himself may cherish – it – upon his near of kin, and the orphans, and the needy, and the wayfarer, and the beggars, and for the freeing of human beings from bondage; and is constant in prayer, and renders the purifying dues; and [truly pious are] they who keep their promises whenever they promise, and are patient in misfortune and hardship and in time of peril: it is they that have proved themselves true, and it is they, they who are conscious of God.

FLOOD APPEAL

To all Presidents, Leaders of Jamaats/Mehfil and institutions across the globe. We request our leaders to appeal on behalf of HF for generous donation during the following month of Ramadhan.

Pakistan is passing through the worst calamity in her history, according to UN Pakistan the catastrophe is worse than Tsunami more than 14 million peoples are affected. The infrastructural losses are estimated up-to 20 billion US dollar. The personal property losses are more than 600000 units and are expected to raise as days passes. The weather conditions are still in red zone. 

The worse epidemic out-break is feared, cholera-malaria-diarrhea may add-up more casualties in coming days. 

It is feared that in later stage the rehabilitation in such a large scale will add painful events in their lives and days ahead. It is again a matter of deep concern for our affected brothers that they will suffer more than the rest because of various hurdles they will face. 

Hussaini Foundation from day one is on the ground and collecting data of our brothers, sisters and initiated relief supplies. Due to such vast calamity the funding requirement are enormous therefore we have divided the support in two phases RELIEF & RE-CONSTRUCTION. 

In relief phase we have further divided into two packages FOOD & MEDICAL support. We have target of 25000 families for this phase. 

As the holy month of Ramadhan is now at the doorstep we request each and every member to re-locate their funds towards this calamity and assist to generate funds to meet this task.

This Ramadhan, we are honored to be hosting Sayed Hadi al-Qazwini for the whole month.  Many of you will remember Sayed Hadi from his previous visits during Ramadhan where he connected very well with the audience.  Sayed Hadi who was born in Mashhad, Iran grew up in Southern California where he attended school and college.  He has been studying at the Islamic seminary in Qum, Iran for the past six years. Sayed Hadi has lectured at many Islamic centers around the world and is known for his ability to connect with the Muslim youth, especially those living in the West.  We are excited to have him during this month and we are looking forward to learning from his lectures.  In addition, we will be having Q&A and Fiqh sessions with Sayed Hadi on Saturdays and Sundays.
 
The daily program will begin before Maghrib with recitation of Qur’an in both Arabic and English, and for men and women, followed by prayers and a potluck iftaar.  After iftaar, we will have a lecture by Sayed Hadi, and there will be recitation of Dua-e-Iftitah after the lecture.  There will also be a special program for children ages 5 – 14 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.  On the nights of Qadr, we will have special a’maal and on the 23rd night, IMAN Center will be open until Fajr for those who want to engage in prayers and dua.  Please check the website for updated information.  Click here to download the Ramadhan daily program calendar.

No words of denouncement and condemnation of the perpetrators of the horrific terrorist attacks in Iraq & Pakistan as devout Muslims and lovers of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his progeny) commemorated the Arba’een (40th day) of Imam Husain’s (A) martyrdom. These deliberate attacks, chillingly executed, have the sole aim of killing and maiming innocent human beings.  These tragedies of our times can be felt in the hearts of all upstanding human beings. In this time of anguish, good people of all faiths must come together to not only condemn but also do all they can to assist the survivors of these tragedies, and also the families of those innocent men and women who lost their lives in the course of commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Husain (an epic event and a symbol of the struggle against injustice and tyranny among Muslims and many non-Muslims all over the world).  We urge the Muslim community to stand united against the radical elements and those who wish to sow seeds of conflict and sectarianism within the Muslim community.  It is our hope and prayers that those who have committed these evil acts be captured and given swift justice for the heinous crimes committed against the innocent victims.
We pray to Allah SWT to rest all the deceased souls in peace and grant them the loftiest place in the hereafter.  We also pray to Allah SWT to give strength to the family members and survivors of these tragedies to bear the suffering and the loss in these difficult times.
