About The Event

Sayed Saleh Al Qazwini will be our on-line guest speaker as we celebrate the Wiladat of Imam Ali A.S. In his second lecture, Sayed Saleh will discuss how we can take Imam Ali (as) as an example in uniting our communities by focusing on our common interests. 

 

Sayed Saleh Qazwini hails from a prominent religious family from Iraq. He immigrated to the United States with his parents in 1994. After completing high school in San Diego, Sayed Saleh moved to Iran where he studied in the Islamic seminary of Qom. His studies focused primarily on Islamic Jurisprudence and Islamic Scripture. After completing his studies, he returned to the United States and acquired a Bachelors degree in sociology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a Masters degree in Near Eastern Studies from Wayne State University. 

 

Currently, he lectures weekly at several mosques and community centers in Michigan. He travels to numerous communities across the globe spreading the message of Islam and religious tolerance. He also teaches courses on Islamic ideology and Quranic studies. He is married and has three children.
