Br. Shabbir Kermani will be our guest speaker on the occasion of the Wiladat of Imam Hussein (as), Imam Zain ul abedin (as) and Hazrat Abbas (as). In his first lecture, Br. Shabbir Kermani will be speaking on Social activism and Leadership Today.
An Award-Winning Poet, Public Speaker, Data Scientist, and Activist Sayyid Shabbir Kirmani, is a speaker at the Mainstay Foundation in Orlando, FL. After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Economics, Mathematics & Computer Science from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 2012, He pursued his Master’s in Engineering from UCF in 2015, while working in the Technology Space.
Sayyid Shabeer is passionate about the future of our community and works to bridge the gap between Modernity & Religion, particularly for our younger generation. He has traveled throughout North America and the United Kingdom to Lecture for the past 9 years, in both English and Urdu. He is active in the community, having served on multiple management committees, as well as teaching & mentoring at institutes throughout the region. He was co-founder of the Ahlul-Bayt Society at UCF, and served as President and Vice President of the Society. He has been an active speaker in multiple conferences in the US, Canada, and the UK, which focus on Community Development, Entrepreneurship, Science & Islam, and ultimately promoting a constructive Islamic identity for Muslims in the West. He focuses on Islamic Beliefs (Aqaid), in light of the teachings of the Ahlul-Bayt (as), from a contemporary lens, using Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy. Sayyid Shabbir is currently pursuing his PhD from UCF.
