Conflict in Gaza/Israel

It is with heavy hearts we are witnessing the gut-wrenching developments in Gaza and Israel.

The ongoing violence and bloodshed have claimed thousands of lives, injured thousands more, and displaced countless families from their homes.

The suffering and trauma of the conflict are unimaginable.

As a community, we stand in solidarity with all those affected by this tragedy and pray for a just and dignified resolution to the land conflict that has its roots in more than a century of history.

We also condemn any form of hatred, bigotry, or violence that targets any group based on their religion, ethnicity, or identity.

We urge you to support the humanitarian efforts of various organizations that are working tirelessly to provide relief and assistance to the victims of this crisis.

As of Monday, 9th October 2023, Israel has cut-off all food, water, electricity, food and fuel from entering Gaza. There are also reports of international humanitarian aid convoys being prevented from entering Gaza through the Rafah border crossing shared with Egypt. Innocent and helpless civilians, of all ages including infant children and pregnant women, are enduring collective punishment. A humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding.

You can contact your representatives to demand an end to the hostilities and a peaceful dialogue between the parties involved. Support the Ceasefire Now Resolution

We hope that this dark chapter in the history of the region will soon come to an end and that a new era of coexistence, cooperation, and mutual respect will dawn.

Until then, let us keep all those affected by the continued violence in our thoughts and prayers.

IMAN Board of Directors are exploring potential remodel of the current facilities to satisfy current unmet needs: •Multi-purpose activity area and safe outside play area

•24/7 prayer space – musalla

Express Islamic nature of the facility

•Apartment for caretaker?

•Ghusalkhana?

Sunday School 2022/2023

IMAN Sunday School is in its 5th week and progressing well.

The school celebrated Milad-un Nabi by hosting a Kahoot during assembly on October 1st, 2023.

Shaykh Trenton Carl extended his visit by speaking to the student body during assembly on October 8th, 2023 and spent some time after with our Youth class.

IMAN Sunday school will be closed for regular classes on November 5th, 2023 for a Teacher Training Conference. Teachers will be participating in a training conducted by NASIMCO from Toronto, Canada.

There will be a Parent Meeting on November 12th, 2023 after assembly. We encourage for all parents to attend. This is an opportunity to hear from the school committee and voice your thoughts and concerns about how the 2023-2024 school year is progressing.

IMAN Sunday School is 100% volunteer activity. Active engagement and participation by parents - dads and mums - are key to its success. Participation in the Sunday School Open House in September did not meet expectations. Please participate in the development of your child.
