Welcome to IMAN
Assalamu alaykum, Peace be upon you,
Welcome to the Ithna-asheri Muslim Association of the Northwest (IMAN). In Arabic, the acronym IMAN also means "faith." IMAN is one of the several Muslim organizations in the Greater Seattle area and was established in August 1997. IMAN Center is located at 515 State St. Kirkland, WA 98033. IMAN holds the following regular programs:
- Religious: Daily evening prayers, Sunday Fajr & Dhuhr prayers, Friday prayers, Thursday & Friday evening programs
- Education: Sunday School, Qur'anic Arabic classes, Farsi School, and Philosophy study circle
In addition there are special occasions commemorated at IMAN Center including Muharram, Milad-un-Nabi, Ramadhan & Hajj. We would like welcome you to visit IMAN Center. Please feel free to contact us should you have further questions.

 Rabi-ul-Awwal 1433 (Posted On January 25th, 2012 )The 1st of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1433 fell on Wednesdat, January 25th, 2012. Expect the 1st of Rabi-ul-Thani to be on Thursday February 23rd, 2012. Important dates during this month include: Volunteer to cook at the shelter on Friday 1/27/2012, 4 – 7 PM (Posted On January 16th, 2012 )Our next shelter cooking at the Sacred Heart Shelter is on Friday January 27th, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Important dates during this month include: Ashura Program (Posted On December 5th, 2011 )We will be commemorating the day of Ashura on Tuesday December 6th, 2011. Expect the 1st of Safar to be on Monday December 26th, 2011. Important dates during this month include: Read more Muharram 1433 Program at IMAN (Posted On November 21st, 2011 )As the month of Muharram 1433 approaches, millions of Muslims around the world will begin to remember and fervently relive the sacrifice of Imam Husain (A) through the religious services (majlises) of Ashura. The martyrs of Ashura did not die in vain; their sacrifice and memory live within the hearts of millions of people worldwide. They are beacons of true martyrs and comforters to our own personal struggles. Muharram 1433 is expected to begin on Sunday November 27th, 2011. There will be daily programs at IMAN starting on Saturday November 26th through December 7th. The daily program will be broadcast live at www.iman-wa.org/live with previous broadcasts archived here. This year we will have a blood drive on Ashura and encourage those who are able to sign up to donate blood. And we are in need of volunteers to help out with the various tasks to make the Muharram program successful.
