Eid Mubarak!

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum!




Based on verified sightings of the crescent moon by the naked eye at sunset on Sunday, May 1st, 2022, in many regions of North America, Monday, May 2nd, 2022, will be the first day of the month of Shawwal, 1443 A.H.






We ask Allah, the Most High, for success in performing good deeds and hasten the Return of Our Master, Imam Mahdi (AJTF).


All of us at IMAN wishes everyone a joyful and safe Eid. Please stay safe and remember each other in your duas and especially all those who are going through difficult times due to COVID-19 pandemic, unjust dispossession and/or violent conflicts around the world.

If anyone planning to attend the Eid prayer and/or anyone in their household is experiencing symptoms of not being well (headaches, fever, cough, runny nose, body ache, sore throat, etc) then kindly get tested and join the prayer with intention of furada from home by clicking on the link IMAN Live.


When you do attend the gathering at IMAN, please exercise abundance of caution, refrain from close contact (hugging, shaking hands etc)


We strongly recommend everyone to wear mask at all times except when consuming food/drink.


Sanitizers are available at rear entrance door and at other locations in the center. Please take advantage of it as appropriate.

Muslims around the world share the joy of Eid by sharing with those around them who are less fortunate by contributing Zakat al Fitr.


Zakat al Fitr is an obligation that is due on the night of Eid and needs to be paid before Salaat ul Eid.


Zakat al Fitr $ amount per head depends on the staple diet of the the person contributing and is equivalent to approximately 3 kilograms of the staple diet.


For 1443 AH Zakat al Fitr, IMAN recommends a minimum of $10.00 per head in the household.


The household size is determined as the number of people in that household on the night of Eid.

IMAN Center will distribute the Zakat al Fitr collected to those in need by working in collaboration with other Islamic Centers in the Greater Seattle area with whom there is a social services working relationship.
