Welcoming Brother Nader Shah Jafari to a New Role

We are pleased to announce that Brother Nader Shah Jafari has kindly agreed to take on an exploratory assignment as IMAN Caretaker on a temporary trial basis, beginning October 1, 2025.
In addition to his dedication to community service, Br. Nader is an accomplished Qur’an Qari who has graciously offered to assist anyone wishing to enhance their Qur’anic recitation. He will be available for guidance and practice sessions after the daily congregational Dhuhr or Maghrib prayers.
We extend our prayers for his success and invite all community members to benefit from his knowledge and commitment.
IMAN Center Daily Congregational Salaat
Encouraging greater participation in prayer remains one of the most powerful ways to strengthen our unity and deepen our spiritual connection as a community.
Alhamdulillāh, over the past several weeks we have seen encouraging growth in daily congregational prayer attendance. Our Isha prayer, followed by a short Qur’an study, now regularly attracts five or more participants each evening, with thoughtful discussion and reflection.

Likewise, Friday prayers continue to see a steady increase in attendance, bringing renewed energy and togetherness to our congregation.
Each Friday, a tasty sit-down hot lunch is provided, offering everyone the chance to mingle, share stories, and strengthen communal bonds after Jumu‘ah. These simple moments of connection help nurture the spirit of brotherhood and belonging that defines our community.
Let us remember: faith does not pass automatically from one generation to the next. When one generation only sometimes prays at the Masjid, the next may only sometimes pray at home. Over time, prayer can fade—and with it, faith itself.
The challenge lies not only in the distractions of modern life, but in how we prioritize and nurture our Iman while there is still time. The faith of our children is not guaranteed; it must be cultivated and protected today.
We were once the children sitting at the back of the Masjid. Our fathers brought us, our elders welcomed us, our teachers guided us. Now it is our turn to continue the circle. If we do, Islam will live in every home and every heart for generations to come.
Let us not allow today’s silence in the Masjid to become tomorrow’s silence of faith.

ذَٰلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لَا رَيْبَ ۛ فِيهِ ۛ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
“This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:2)
Alhamdulillah, a beautiful nightly practice has been taking root within our community — the daily Isha prayer at 8:00 PM, followed by a short Qur’an study circle. This gathering began a few weeks ago, and through steady reflection and discussion, we have completed Juz’ 30 and are now journeying through Surah Al-Baqarah, currently at verse 102.
Each evening offers a chance not only to connect with Allah through prayer, but also to deepen our understanding of His words — together as a family of believers. Whether you can join regularly or occasionally, your presence adds spirit, warmth, and barakah to the circle.
Let us come together in the house of Allah, strengthen our bond with the Qur’an, and inspire one another in our journey toward taqwa and understanding.

IMAN Center Blood Drive Friday, December 12th, 2025

The anticipation of snow leaves Bloodworks with one thought: are we prepared to meet local blood needs? Winter storms can quickly deplete our blood supply. Through any weather, patients in our community depend on transfusions to survive cancer, traumas, and bleeding disorders.
You can help our community be ready for whatever the weather brings by making an appointment today to donate blood at the IMAN Center on Friday, December 12, 2025.
Please note our September 2025 blood drive was not as successful as the previous Blood Drive, primarily due to lack of participation: Appointments made 11 (appointments available 37 i.e. 30% sign-ups)
Donors who did come 9
Units of blood collected 6 (3 not donate due to medical or other reasons)
Insha-Allah, the next one will be more successful.
Sunday School
IMAN Sunday School resumed on September 7th, 2025, after a well-attended open house on September 6th. During the open house, the students and their families had the opportunity to meet the school admin, familiarize themselves with school policies, meet with their teachers, pick up their books, and more.
This year 37 families are bringing 56 students to our school for a unique learning experience.
We will be continuing with Al-Kisa curriculum similar to last year. The administration held a special meeting with salaat teachers to discuss curriculum and smooth transition between different salaat levels.
Parent Liaison team launched the year with great energy, organizing a variety of engaging and meaningful activities.
IMAN youth and TAs kicked off the month by taking “Welcome Back to School” pictures for the yearbook.
Milad-un-Nabi (sawa) was joyfully celebrated with a fun pop quiz and guessing game, where students learned about the Prophet’s (sawa) favorite foods and the emphasis he placed on healthy eating habits.
IMAN Dollar Shop has been restocked and refreshed adding much to the students’ excitement!

Building Community Through Shared Meals
Our monthly community dinners have become a wonderful way to connect, strengthen friendships, and share the blessings of food and faith with one another — and with our neighbors. While these gatherings have brought warmth and joy to many, overall participation could be stronger to better reflect our community’s commitment to this important activity.
We warmly invite more members to volunteer and help organize upcoming dinners. Your involvement—whether in planning, setup, cooking, serving, or outreach—makes a real difference in nurturing a welcoming and vibrant community spirit.
Those interested in helping with future events are encouraged to contact Br. Abbas Kazmi or email socialservices@iman-wa.org.
