Crescent Moon Muharram 1444 AH

We expect Saturday, July 30th, 2022 to be the first day of Muharram 1444 A.H.


We ask God, the Most High, for success in performing good deeds and to hasten the Return of Our Master, Imam Mahdi (p) as we also pray to God, the Most Merciful, to bring a swift end to the current pandemic and grant a quick recovery to all those afflicted.

Muharram Program at IMAN

Muharram 1444 AH Programs at IMAN Center will be held in person and commence on July 29, 2022, at 7:30 PM.


Given the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, for the safety of all community members, only those in good health and exhibiting no symptoms may attend in person. Masks are highly recommended for all attendees - for your safety and the safety of all around you.


Anyone not feeling well can join our live broadcast instead of attending in person. If you are not sure you are well, then please be safe and join the program from home.

*When salaat time is earlier than 9:00 PM, timings above will be adjusted so that salaat starts at the appropriate time.


Subject to volunteer availability, children's program will run concurrently starting at 8:00 PM.

About Sayed Shabbir Kirmani

Dr. Sayed Shabbir Kirmani is a Poet, Researcher and Lecturer in the American Muslim Community.


An engineer by training, Dr. Kirmani has a diverse professional background working with Fortune 500 Firms, in sectors as diverse as Pharmaceuticals, Government and Consulting.


As a Lecturer, he has traveled throughout North America and Europe to Lecture for the past 12 years. He has been an active speaker in multiple conferences & seminars in the US, Canada, UK and India, on topics as diverse as Islam & Economics, Modernity, and Development.


He was co-founder of the Ahlul-Bayt Society at UCF and served as President and Vice President of the Society.


Born & raised in Maryland by our Nation's Capital, Sayed is passionate about Islam in America, particularly the present & future of the American Muslim community and works to bridge the gap between Modernity & Religion.


He completed his bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics & Computer Science in 2012, his Master’s in Engineering in 2015, and his PhD in 2021.


Sayed enjoys good books, thought-provoking discussions, volunteering, and traveling.


Dr. Kirmani currently serves as the Resident Scholar at Masjid Al-Hayy in Orlando, FL.

IMAN Roof Repair Update

Alhamdulillah repairs necessary to remove and replace the rotted wood and failing roof areas have been completed.


Painting work is now in progress.


Installation of new LED light fixtures need to be completed.
