IMAN Professional Network

Thanks to the fresh impetus from Br. Jafar Shameem, Br. Abid Zaidi, Br. Riyaz Vazir, Br. Mohammad Zahir Shah, and many others who have supported and encouraged them, the IMAN Professional Network has been meeting every Thursday after Salaat ul-Maghrebain since April 10, 2025.

Established on February 19, 2024, the group was formed to strengthen professional connections within our community by fostering opportunities for career development, mentorship, and collaboration.

We are sincerely grateful to all who have shown enthusiasm for this initiative and for their cooperation and commitment in helping grow the network into a valuable asset for the IMAN community.

Survey responses have highlighted both the diverse expertise within the group and the aspirations of its members. As we analyze the feedback, several common themes and potential areas for collaboration have begun to emerge—presenting exciting opportunities for growth and collective impact.

The success of this initiative depends on the continued energy and engagement of its members. A number of individuals have already stepped forward to maintain momentum, explore a governance framework, and address the evolving needs of participants. We will continue to share updates as the network evolves—please stay tuned.

Dear Ali,

Thank you for coordinating the April 26 blood drive at IMAN Center.  We very much appreciate you hosting us and partnering with us in this lifesaving effort for our community.

The efforts of you and IMAN Center are sincerely appreciated and your support of the community blood program will go a long way toward replenishing blood supplies and ultimately saving lives.

In addition, we very much appreciate your efforts during this crucial time. You may be interested to know that, on Saturday:

  • 17 donors registered

  • 4 donors were deferred

  • 13 units were collected!

  • We also registered 5 first time donors!

That last number is super exciting as five people decided to donate blood for their very first time at your blood drive!

Unfortunately, we did experience 9 no-shows so perhaps, for the upcoming drives, we can include some verbiage around being sure to cancel the appointment if one cannot make it in order to open that appointment time for someone who can and just as a courtesy to our staff.

It looks like 3 people rebooked for the July 4th drive so that’s awesome to see already!

Again, thank you for your contribution and ongoing support of this important community program. I look forward to working with you again on your July 4th drive.

Sincerely,

Karen
