Crescent Moon for the Month of Shaban 1442 AH

There were no verified sightings of the crescent moon by the naked eye at sunset on Saturday, March 13th, 2021 in any region of North America. Therefore, Sunday March 14th, 2021 was the last day of the month of Rajab and Monday, March 15th, 2021, is the first day of the month of Shaban, 1442 A.H.


We ask God, the Most High, for success in performing good deeds and to hasten the Return of Our Master, Imam Mahdi (p).

Sunday School

Sunday school is in its 23rd week and now on the Daylight-Saving time schedule. All sessions are being conducted online with alhamdulillah good attendance.


A big thank you to all participants, parents, teachers and judges for the Sunday School Art competition that produced impressive Artworks.


Planning for Ramadhan Qur'an Conference has in underway. Now is a good time for to encourage and work with students to get them ready.


Sunday School Committee met with teachers on February 17th, 2021 to share experiences, discuss progress and concerns. Parent/Teacher conferences took place on March 7th, 2021 and all parents are encouraged to discuss feedback provided with their children. A Parent meeting with the School Committee has been scheduled for March 28,. 2021.


Madrasah Center of Excellence (MCE ) is digitalizing the Tarbiyah curriculum. All bands of Tarbiyah Books are available online now, with the exception of Band A & B. There will be a cost per student per year. The amount has not been determined yet . Some of our teachers and administrative have taken the training for the digitalized platform.


Social Services

Sr. Sidra Naqvi continues to coordinate meals every other Sunday to the Seattle Tent City. Several spots have been reserved to provide future meals at shelters. If you are interested in helping, please contact Sister Sidra Naqvi (425) 273 1463 or e-mail iman@iman-wa.org.


Independent Force Investigation Team-King County

Chief Harris and the Kirkland Police Department is requesting assistance with the development of the non-law enforcement community representative pool of community volunteers to be established as part of Independent Force Investigation Team – King County, (IFIT-KC). Kirkland Police Department is joining with other agencies in King County to establish an outside investigation team should a use of deadly force occur within the jurisdictions of one of the partner agencies.
