Supporting those in need

Carmen Smith, Associative Executive Director of the White Center Food Bank conveys gratitude for generous donations that enabled a $4,000.00 donation towards purchase of halal turkeys that will be distributed to needy families in White Center, West Seattle and Burien for thanksgiving. Many have lost jobs, cannot afford childcare, and/or encounter empty shelves at the grocery stores on a recurring basis. There has been a 30% increase in the number of people being served by the food bank.

Sister Sidra has reserved several spots to provide meals to the needy at homeless shelters. If you are interested in helping, please contact Sister Sidra Naqvi (425) 273 1463 or e-mail
