IMAN Center Daily Congregational Salaat

Fostering greater participation in prayer times is a meaningful effort to build a stronger sense of unity and spiritual connection within our community. In response to our call for solutions, Br. Mohamed Reza Khalili Shoja has developed an innovative application to help us organize Salaat-ul-Jamaat more efficiently.

We invite everyone to join the IMAN Center Daily Salaat initiative by connecting through the provided WhatsApp bot link. Together, let us support this effort to establish regular daily congregational prayers for Dhuhr and Maghrib at IMAN.

Our congregation attendance scorecard for January 2025 is appended below.

Laila Kamin's State Level Achievement in Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest

We are thrilled to share that Laila Kamin, one of our Sunday School students, has once again competed in the Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest—this time with even greater success!

After winning the Post and District levels last year, she has gone on to win 1st place at the State level this year. Her essay will now represent the state of Washington at Nationals, competing against other state winners from across the country.

The Patriot’s Pen is a nationwide youth essay competition sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). It encourages students to explore America’s history and their experiences in today’s society, expressing their views on an annual patriotic theme. This year’s theme for 2024-2025 was: “My Voice in America's Democracy?”

The contest is open to students in grades 6-8 attending public, private, parochial, or home schools in the United States and its territories.

Essays are judged based on the depth of theme knowledge, effective development of key questions and personal connections, and clear, engaging writing that leaves a lasting impression.

We congratulate Laila on her amazing achievement and wish her all the best as she represents our state at Nationals. May she continue to shine, and we send her our prayers for continued success!
