Crescent Moon Dhu al-Hijjah 1443 AH
The new crescent moon was sighted with a naked eye on Wednesday, June 29th at 8:35 pm in two different locations in San Diego, California.
Therefore, based on the sighting first day of Dhul Hijjah is Thursday, June 30th, 2022.
We ask God, the Most Merciful, to bring a swift end to the current pandemic and grant a quick recovery to all those afflicted.
And as always, we ask God, the Most High, for success in performing good deeds and to hasten the Return of Our Master, Imam Mahdi (A).

Daily Dhur and Maghreb and Friday congregational prayers are being held in person at the IMAN Center. Congregational Prayer Timings are published on the IMAN home page.
Weekly Qur'an Circle for all ages is scheduled for 8:00 PM every Thursday.
Weekly Dua Kumail program also takes place in person every Thursday at the IMAN Center half an hour before maghreb.
Wiladats and wafats are observed on the Thursday closest to the actual date.

Eid al-Adha prayer service will also be conducted in person at the IMAN Center inshallah on Saturday July 9th, 2022 at 9:30 AM. Refreshments will be provided after the prayer service.
Roof Repairs
IMAN roof repair work got started on June 21, 2022.
Imperfect initial roof installation in 2008 has caused standing water in a couple of roof sections leading to leaks.
Clogged down spouts have led to poor drainage and more standing water that has leaked through the roof membrane seams and rotted some section of the walkway canopy closed to State St S. Rotted wood requires significant repair work.
Exterior lighting fixtures under the walkway canopy are all damaged and need to be repaired.
Several sections of the roof have developed air bubbles due to imperfect installation that also require repair to prevent further problems down the road.

We are hoping that most of the damaged area and roof repair work will be completed before Eid al Adha with finishing and painting to follow soon thereafter.
Once again, we appeal for generous donations to help cover the expenses that are being incurred.
Sunday School
2021/2022 School year completed with end of year school celebrations on June 12, 2022. A special celebration ceremony was organized for 6/7 graduating class.
A big thank you to all students, parents, teachers, coordinators and the youth group for all their hard work.
Bake sale held on June 12 collected $1,300 which will help with school activities.
IMAN Sunday School nominated and NASIMCO awarded CIL Years of Service Awards to Br. Jawad Khaki (>30), Sr. Kaniz Khaki (25-29), Br. Sameer Tejani (20-24).
Congratulations to Teachers & School Committee members for graduating from the Teachers Skills Program organized by NASIMCO as part of the Madrasah Center of Excellence initiative.
Registration for School year 2022-2023 will open in late August 2022.
