Dhul-hijjah 1st 10 Days Amaal

It is recommended to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-hijjah.

On of the deeds for the first day of Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1447 until the afternoon of the Arafa day is the following supplication, which is reported by Shaykh al-Tusi and Sayyid Ibn Tawus from Imam Ja`far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), after the obligatory Fajr and before the Maghrib Prayers, from the first day of Dhu’l-Hijjah and up to the eve of the `Arafat Night, the ninth of Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1447:

O Allah, these days that You have preferred and favored on other days,

You have allowed me to attain them out of Your favor and mercy;

so, (please) descend on us Your blessings

and expand for us Your boons.

O Allah, I beseech you to send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

and to guide us on these days to the path of guidance,

chastity, sufficiency,

and doing that which You like and please.

O Allah, I beseech You, O object of all complaints,

O Hearer of all confidential talks,

O Attendant in all sessions,

O Knower of all hidden matters,

to send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

relieve us from all hardships on these days,

respond to our prayers,

grant us power, aid us,

and lead us successfully to all that which You, O our Lord, like and please

and to do acts of obedience to You that which You have made obligatory upon us

as well as acts of obedience to Your Messenger and to the men of Your leadership.

O Allah, I beseech You, O most Merciful of all those who show mercy,

to send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

and grant us [Your] pleasure on these days.

You are verily Hearer of prayers.

Do not deprive us of the good that You cause to come down from the heavens on these days,

purify us from sins,

O Knower of all unseen things,

and make certain for us the abode of immortality.

O Allah, send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

and do not leave for us a sin but that You forgive it,

no depression but that You relieve it,

no debt but that You help us settle it,

no absent but that You make join us,

and no need in this world and the Next World

but that You make it easy and obtainable.

You, verily, have power over all things.

O Allah! O Knower of all hidden things!

O Merciful of all tears!

O Answerer of all prayers!

O Lord of the [layers of the] earth and the heavens!

O He Who is not confused by various sounds!

(Please) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

and include us, on these days, with those whom You release and discharge from Hellfire,

those whom You make win Your Paradise,

and those whom You save, out of Your mercy.

O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

Allah may send blessings to our master, Muhammad, and to his entire Household.

Daily Congregational Salaat

As we complete the blessed month of Dhū al-Qaʿdah 1447 AH and prepare to enter the sacred days of Dhū al-Ḥijjah, let us renew our commitment to the daily congregational prayers at IMAN.

Around the world, millions of believers are journeying for Ḥajj, answering the timeless call of Allah and reenacting the legacy of Prophet Ibrāhīm and Prophet Ismāʿīl (عليهما السلام) through devotion, sacrifice, obedience, and remembrance. While many will travel physically to the Sacred House, all of us are invited to spiritually refresh our connection with Allah through steadfast prayer, especially in congregation. Every step toward the masjid strengthens not only our individual faith, but also the unity, vitality, and spiritual fabric of our community.

Our congregation attendance scorecard for April/May 2026 is appended below. Let us strive together to improve our attendance and make Dhū al-Ḥijjah a month of greater presence, devotion, and communal worship at IMAN.

Daily Qur'an Study Circle

Al-ḥamdu lillāh, we have now completed our journey through Sūrat al-Anʿām (The Cattle) and have commenced our study of Sūrat Al-Aʿrāf (The Heights), continuing a profound exploration of the Qur’an’s unfolding moral, spiritual, and civilizational architecture.

Throughout our study of Sūrat al-Anʿām, we reflected on the restoration of tawḥīd as the foundation of moral reality — a sūrah that establishes Allah’s absolute oneness, dismantles shirk, exposes false religious constructs and superstitions, and calls humanity to perceive reality correctly through revelation, creation, and reflection. It reminded us that no sound civilization can emerge until the human being first sees reality through the lens of divine truth.

Sūrat Al-Aʿrāf now extends this journey further by examining humanity’s response to that restored reality: why some hearts surrender with humility while others resist through arrogance, heedlessness, pride, and attachment to worldly power. Through the recurring stories of the prophets and their peoples, the sūrah reveals the historical and psychological struggle between divine guidance and civilizational rebellion, teaching that societies collapse spiritually long before they collapse materially.

Our Daily Qur'an Study Circles are not merely sessions of learning - they are spaces where hearts are softened, faith is renewed, and lives are guided by divine wisdom.

Community members are encouraged to benefit through active daily participation, as well as by engaging with the Qur’an Study Circle reflections being developed and shared each day.

Thank you for your Apil 24, Blood Donation

As you know, Bloodworks Northwest partners with local hospitals - including Seattle Children’s Hospital, EvergreenHealth Kirkland, Harborview Medical Center, Overlake Medical Center, and many others - to help ensure that lifesaving blood transfusions are available to patients throughout our community.

The IMAN Center blood drive held on April 24, 2026, made a meaningful impact on the lives of local patients, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated through their time, effort, and generosity in sharing this invaluable gift of life.

Our recent blood drive results were as follows:

• 18 donors registered

• 3 donors were deferred

• 15 units of blood were successfully collected

We look forward to our next scheduled blood drive on Friday, July 3, 2026, for which three donors have already signed up. Additional information about the July 3 drive will be shared on this blog in early June, inshā’Allāh.

Muharram Planning

Your time and commitment is needed to organize nightly programs for our children to guide their energy toward something useful. If you have two hours of your time to share for one (or more) nights of Muharram (first 12 nights) at Iman, working with organizers and following their direction to manage children, please let us know!

We are planning to have activities for children while parents participate in the adult Muharram program knowing that our younger ones are also spending their time well with enrichment activities.

We are asking for volunteers 15 years of age and older to engage in activities planned for two age-based groups: 4-7 yrs and +7 yrs.

Volunteers are expected to spend two hours at IMAN each evening with other organizers working with children and keeping them engaged.

Activities may include storytelling, book reading, game-based activities, art and craft, and etc. The activities will mostly be led by organizers and volunteers will assist them in managing the events.

However, if you like to lead an event or have ideas/suggestions, we’ll be more than happy to hear from you!

So, if you think you can share two hours or more of your time with us, please Email programs@iman-wa.org with your name, number of hours/nights willing to volunteer and a good contact. Please do so by June 15th.
