IMAN Center Daily Congregational Salaat

Encouraging greater participation in prayer is one of the most powerful ways to build unity and deepen our spiritual connection as a community.

Over the past four weeks, our Maghribain congregation has gathered 12 or more participants each evening, with Qur’anic reading and reflection between Maghrib and Isha enriching the experience. We warmly invite more families to take advantage of the warmer season to make at least one daily congregational prayer part of their routine.

But let us remember: faith does not pass automatically from one generation to the next. When one generation only sometimes prays at the Masjid, the next may only sometimes pray at home. Over time, prayer can fade, and with it, faith itself.

The challenge does not lie in society or distractions alone—it lies in our priorities and our commitment to nurturing Iman while there is still time. The faith of our children is not guaranteed; it must be cultivated and protected today.

We were once the children at the back of the Masjid. Our fathers brought us, our elders welcomed us, our teachers guided us. Now it is our turn to continue the circle. If we do, Islam will live in every home and every heart for generations to come.

Let us not allow today’s silence in the Masjid to become tomorrow’s silence of faith.
